SRC: Butterfinger Brownies

July 16, 2012

Adapted from Grandma Loy’s Kitchen

Another month of Secret Recipe Club! This month I was paired up with Grandma Loy’s blog and she has a ton of great recipes on her site. Wholesome Husband picked this recipe just like all of the previous Secret Recipe Club recipes!

2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter, melted
2 1/4 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 regular size Butterfinger Candy Bars, crushed

Directions:
1. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
2. Mix together melted butter and brown sugar and beat well.  Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth.
3. Stir in flour mixture.  Add the crushed Butterfingers and mix well.  Pour mixture into  a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 – 35 minutes.  Cook and cut into bars.  Makes 3 dozen.

Taste Test: These were delicious! How can you go wrong with Butterfingers in brownies? :) Absolutely divine!

Enjoy!

Hmm butterfinger brownies sound delicious!! When I first moved to the US in 1997 from Australia I fell in loove with butterfingers since they didn’t have them in Australia! This is my first time participating in the SRC and it’s great to see all the recipes everyone else has prepared (looks like I accidentally added my name instead of the recipe name in the link party – oops).

Yes and please.  I just happen to have some butterfingers sitting at home waiting to be consumed…

woah, no cocoa in the brownies, and they still look deliciously chocolaty, might have to try this recipe out and use up the kids Easter candy still lingering around! haha..

I did not remember posting this recipe so when I clicked on the link I just thought that I was going to find another  recipe to use Butterfinger candy in.  What a surprise when I see that it was a recipe from my blog.  Thank you so much for trying it.  I hope that you enjoyed your visit to Grandma Loy’s Kitchen.  Have a great week.

      Thanks!

These did not turn out for some reason. They came out yellow and had a cookie like texture. They were not chocolaty at all and not gooey or fuggy at all. I dont know why because I followed the recipe exactly. :(
